The explosion risk assessment was provided for the operational starch and gelatin receiving, storage and pneumatic transport system. The assessment was provided for a global manufacturer of food products and a wide range of chemical products in order to identify the hazards occurring in the system area. The works included estimation of the probability of occurrence and lasting of explosive atmospheres as well as probability of effective ignition sources activation. Furthermore, explosion hazard zones were determined.
