GRUPA WOLFF is delivering dozens of pieces of the plates that protect a steam extinguishing system of main equipment of a solvent extraction system against clogging of steam inlets with the product. The plates will be installed between a flange welded directly to the device and a flange of the steam extinguishing system.
The client previously used safety valves, but decided to change the technology due to unreliable operation of the valves.
After reviewing the necessary data, safety plates were chosen with a diameter of DN 25, with relieving surface of 415 sq. m and bursting pressure of 3.0 barg (at a temperature of 50°C). The upper part of the plates and the vacuum brackets are made of stainless steel, whereas the membranes – of fluoropolymer. The plates will protect the installation supplying steam at a pressure of 10 barg (148°C) against deposition of the product inside the piping.
