Fan heater | ATEX gas zones | Type LFH
The LFH fan heater with up to 40 kW of rated power combines excellent heating efficiency with easy installation and operation. This latest generation of fan heaters is designed for Ex-zones 1 or 2 with potentially explosive atmospheres, as certified in compliance with the latest PN-EN 80079-36 and PN-EN 80079-37 standards for Ex-zone operating safety.
The fan heater casing is made of stainless steel for superior toughness and corrosion resistance. The LFH fan heater can be floor mounted, wall mounted, or suspended under a ceiling. The outdoor temperature of operation ranges from -40 to +40°C.
The LFH stationary fan heater is designed to withstand heavy-duty operating conditions in industrial settings, especially in areas with potentially explosive gas or vapour atmospheres (as it is ATEX-certified for Zone 1 and 2). Depending on the model, the rated heating power available ranges from 6.5 kW to 40 kW with the fan motor power rating from 0.55 kW to 1.1 kW. The fan heater flow rate is between 1,950 and 3,660 m3/h, The noise level ranges from 78 to 85 dB(A).
The fan heater can be installed on a floor, a wall or under a ceiling. The corrosion-resistant design makes the LFH fan heater feasible for offshore applications or onshore industrial settings. The fan heater casing and heating elements are stainless steel; the fan impeller is made of PA66 (polyamide polymer). All electrical enclosures are made of stainless steel (rated at Ex e) and anodized aluminium (rated as flameproof at Ex d).
The fan heater is available in two sizes, 540 x 600 x 600 mm and 690 x 720 x 680 mm (L x W x H). The fan heater requires three-phase power between 380 and 690 V (50 / 60 Hz). The fan heater can be optionally upgraded with an additional thermostat control or more advanced ambient monitoring sensors.
