Battery-powered system for controlling earthing of barrels, tanks, etc.
Newson Gale Bond-Rite REMOTE
The Bond-Rite system is used to earth portable/mobile plant components (barrels, tanks, etc.) in areas with a high risk of explosion and where high safety standards are required. In addition, this type of solution is also used in cases where the monitoring system diode mounted on self-testing clamps (Bond-Rite CLAMP or Bond-Rite EZ) can be obscured by e.g. deposited dust. The mains-powered system (Bond-Rite REMOTE EP) and the battery-powered system (Bond-Rite REMOTE) can be distinguished.
Bond-Rite REMOTE is a 9-volt lithium-magnesium battery-powered system (6 months of operation at 6 hours per day). This system should be used in situations where it is not foreseen to connect the self-testing clamps to the plant components for more than 6 hours. In case of prolonged operation, another earthing control system should be used, e.g. mains-powered Bond-Rite.
Important
Battery-powered self-testing clamps are useful when they are not intended to be connected to the installation components for a long time.
System components
- monitoring unit available in two types of housing (plastic/stainless steel), equipped with a light signal (green and red LEDs) to inform the operator about the correct earthing,
- clamp made of stainless steel, with sharp teeth to ensure penetration through a layer of rust, paint, varnish, etc.,
- two-wire spiral cable in a hytrel casing of various lengths, protecting the cable against mechanical or chemical damage,
- 9-volt lithium-magnesium battery.
