Universal thermostat control | ATEX gas / dust zones | AFT type
The AFT universal thermostat can be provided with an Ex-proof or weather-proof housing. The thermostat is compatible with range of Ex-proof electric heaters. All thermostats are certified for explosive gas atmospheres classified as Zone 1 or 2 (IIA, IIB, IIC). The AFT thermostat features a fast and precise ambient temperature setting feature to heat the space quickly to the desired temperature.
The AFT universal thermostat is made of first-class quality materials for application in extreme operating conditions. It is ATEX-certified for operation in explosive gas and dust atmospheres (classified as Zone 1, 2, 21, and 22).
The thermostat is designed for long, heavy-duty operation (with a rating of IP6X). The robust enclosure is made from epoxy-coated aluminium. The products of this series are intended for control of the target temperature of Ex-proof heating equipment.
The products are available with ATEX, IECEx, CSA, and CU TR (EAC) certification.
The permitted ambient operating temperature of the thermostats ranges from -60˚C to +60˚C.

The AFT thermostat is installed in space and medium heaters certified for operation in Ex-zones. The product can be used in Zone 1 and 2 (explosive gas atmosphere) and Zone 21 and 22 (explosive dust atmosphere).
