Battery-powered system for controlling earthing of barrels, tanks, etc.
Newson Gale Bond-Rite REMOTE EP
The Bond-Rite system is used to earth portable/mobile plant components (barrels, tanks, etc.) in areas with a high risk of explosion and where high safety standards are required. In addition, this type of solution is also used in cases where the monitoring system diode mounted on self-testing clamps (Bond-Rite CLAMP or Bond-Rite EZ) can be obscured by e.g. deposited dust. The mains-powered system (Bond-Rite REMOTE EP) and the battery-powered system (Bond-Rite REMOTE) can be distinguished.
The mains-powered Bond-Rite REMOTE EP has a universal ER power supply in a GRP housing and an optional junction box that allows power distribution of up to 10 Bond-Rite units. The use of this system is recommended in situations where continuous earthing monitoring is required, e.g. in the case of a barrel warehouse, where the product is regularly taken from them.
Important
If continuous monitoring of plant components is required, such as in the case of the barrel warehouse, where the product is regularly taken from them, it is recommended to use self-testing clamps powered from the mains with a “remote” diode indicator.
System components
- monitoring unit available in two types of housing (plastic/stainless steel), equipped with a light signal (green and red LEDs) to inform the operator about the correct earthing,
- clamp made of stainless steel, with sharp teeth to ensure penetration through a layer of rust, paint, varnish, etc.,
- two-wire spiral cable in a hytrel casing of various lengths, protecting the cable against mechanical or chemical damage,
- ER power supply in the GRP enclosure,
- optionally, a distributor box.
