The Wolff Group has recently provided one of the largest oil companies with dozens of spare parts for industrial safety valves. The valves are designed to protect processing equipment and instruments from overpressure in petrochemical plants operated to produce para-xylene (PX) and terephthalic acid (PTA).
A PX/PTA plant is designed to produce the highest quality PTA, which is the essential raw material for PET (polyethylene terephthalate), a plastic which packaging and polyester fibres are made of.
