A few months after the first delivery of the metal detector for one of the largest sugar manufacturers in Europe, the WOLFF GROUP was selected to provide another similar system. Also in this case, the turn-key project involved the modification of the existing system, installation of the metal detector as well as preparation and supply of a system for removing contaminated product from the main material flow. The system was installed on a vertical section of the line providing gravitational transport of 60 tons of sugar per hour.
What is important is the fact that the detector is capable of detecting iron, non-ferrous metals and stainless steel and has certificates for operation in potentially explosive atmospheres (sugar dust with the minimum combustion energy of 30 mJ).
