Research and Development Center
of GRUPA WOLFF
Our R&D Center in Balice, on the outskirts of Krakow, will serve as design and testing laboratory for proprietary industrial fire and explosion protection solutions.

The best leverage for expert knowledge and decades of industry experience
Own research and development facility will allow us to build innovative explosion and fire protection solutions – including those under the HARDO brand.
The project of building and equipping GRUPA WOLFF’s R&D Center for industrial safety technologies is financed by European Funds for research, development, and entrepreneurship.
Research objectives of GRUPA WOLFF’s R&D Center
The big “why?” behind our R&D Center
The decision to create the WOLFF GROUP Research and Development Center is a logical consequence of many years of building engineering expertise in Poland.
The project involves creating a dedicated facility and space to host advanced laboratories and research equipment. It will be the first fully domestic infrastructure of its kind in Poland. Our center will enable efficient design and implementation of new process safety solutions – including those tailored to non-standard and niche operating conditions.
GRUPA WOLFF’s R&D Center: scope of activities
The Center will allow us to conduct specialized product testing for industrial solutions used in environments with explosion and fire hazard, as well as those operating in harsh conditions, such as corrosive or strongly electromagnetic (EMC) environments.
With properly equipped laboratories, we will be able to confirm product quality with measurable evidence – test results that mass manufacturers do not provide. This will give our customers reliable performance and quality data instead of relying solely on manufacturer declarations.
GRUPA WOLFF’s R&D Center: our research areas
We invest in Polish know-how and skills
Our Research and Development Center will not only cut down the time required to bring new products to market. More importantly, it will reduce dependence on foreign suppliers and systematically build competitive advantage based on Polish engineering expertise.
The facility will also enable us to harness the innovative potential of our clients. In the Center, we will be able to efficiently test concepts put forward by end users and implement them on the market. This way, we will contribute to increased safety levels in industrial plants not only in Poland but worldwide.
