Explosion risk assessment of the pulverised coal storage and feeding system

Another order from one of the construction materials production industry leaders. In both cases, services were provided for the same cement plant in the Kujawy-Pomerania Province. After the first order – explosion risk assessment for the system of hydrogen (calibration gas) supply to the Volatile Organic Compounds analyser, this time we prepared the explosion risk assessment for the pulverised coal storage and feeding system (hard coal silos and infrastructure for pulverised coal transport) to furnace burners (main burner, CC burner). Works in this respect were preceded by a site visit to the cement plant. Then, a photographic documentation was prepared, required to complete the final document.

Silos are in the equipment group most prone to explosions. The consequences of explosion would not only mean production downtime but could also result in a threat to human life.

SCOPE OF WORKS: Site visit, interviews with employees responsible for the maintenance of the system, preparation of photographic documentation.

LOCATION: Poland, Kuyavia-Pomerania Province
