The WOLFF GROUP, together with the National Fire Service, will provide a training programme for fire protection experts. The initiative of the training programme is related to the amendments to the Fire Safety Act (of 24 August 1991) which pertain to the professional development of fire protection experts. The dedicated seminars will provide theoretical and practical knowledge regarding industrial explosion safety.
The curriculum will discuss the legal aspects of explosion safety included in the Regulation of 8 July 2010 (Directive 99/92/EC – Atex137). These are some incredibly important aspects which define the primary obligations of employers regarding the minimum occupational health and safety requirements related to the possibility of occurrence of potentially explosive atmospheres in the workplace – says Andrzej Wolff, PhD, Eng., an expert in explosion and process safety who will the training instructor. – Due to the fact that the interpretation of the provisions of this Regulation is often unclear, we will pay attention to the obstacles we have encountered in the many years of experience with preparation of explosion risk assessments and explosion protection documents.
Outside the legal issues, we will focus mostly on the matters of explosion hazard created by gases, vapours of flammable liquids and dusts as well as on the principles of the analysis and evaluation of this hazard in the aspect of coordinating construction (production and storage) designs. – says dr hab. inż. Andrzej Wolff.
The training will end with a test, verifying the knowledge of information provided during the seminar. The attendees will be presented with training completion certificates with the list of discussed topics.
The training will be provided in cooperation with the Association of Fire Safety Engineers and Technicians and the National Fire Service State Headquarters. The fact that the National Fire Service chosen the WOLFF GROUP to provide the required training is a sign of trust and recognition of the knowledge presented by our experts.
