How do we reduce the costs of lighting installation?
HARDO, derived from the WOLFF GROUP, was established as an independent entity, based on over two decades of experience in designing lighting fixtures for explosion hazard zones.
We understand how important costs are to investors. Therefore, we aimed to create a linear explosion-proof fixture that minimizes investors’ expenses while maintaining the highest safety parameters. Below, you will see on two animations the results of the designers’ work, leading to the minimization of costs necessary to purchase materials and labor.
No junction boxes, fewer cables
You connect the fixtures directly, without the need for expensive Ex boxes. You also need fewer cables and cable trays.
Directional lenses, with which you can change the light direction without changing the fixture
Need to change the angle of the light? Need to illuminate important places such as switches, valves, extinguishers? In the case of most lighting fixtures, you would have to either buy and install an additional fixture or resort to unconventional mounting methods. OptiLine fixtures, however, allow the use of up to 22 different lenses, which change the angle of light without the need to purchase new fixtures or use unconventional mounting methods.
Wide range of luminous power and impressive efficiency of ATEX OptiLine fixtures
The OptiLine lighting fixture is synonymous with high quality and versatility, offering a wide range of luminous power and impressive efficiency. With the option to choose between two lengths (600 mm and 1270 mm), three power variants, and three types of diffusers, it creates 18 configurations of emergency lighting fixtures (which can also function as basic lighting):
- basic light streams from 2931 lm to 10342 lm,
- emergency light streams from 650 lm to 1250 lm,
- high efficiency of complete fixtures from 141 lm/W to 176 lm/W guarantees energy efficiency and reduction of operational costs.
Not so obvious, but changing reality competitive advantages
Fixtures in versions: transparent, frosted, and opal
OptiLine fixtures can be used as both primary and emergency lighting in industrial plants, with particular consideration of external and internal explosion hazard zones. To ensure the fixture’s wide application, we included the possibility to choose among three types of diffusers: transparent, frosted, and opal.
Transparent diffuser
The transparent diffuser is suitable for areas requiring intense luminous power, both outdoors and in large interiors.
- Highest light streams – up to 10342 lm
- Highest flexibility – in this case, you can use 22 directing lenses
Frosted diffuser
The frosted diffuser is ideal for lighting outdoor and indoor spaces where the balance between light power and minimizing glare risk is important.
- Light streams up to 9981 lm without glare
- Gently diffused light
Opal diffuser
The opal diffuser is an excellent choice for interiors where the priority is diffused, comfortable light.
- Light streams up to 8747 lm without glare
- Perfect for interiors
Innovative solution with glands and power connectors
Traditional lighting fixtures often encounter limitations in the number and size of glands, leading to increased installation costs. For example, installing dozens of fixtures with a single gland requires the use of expensive ATEX junction boxes, generating additional costs. The Ex OptiLine fixture, allowing the installation of up to four M20 or M25 glands, is a much more economical solution. With two glands on each end, cables can be routed directly between fixtures, significantly reducing cable and cable tray costs.
Want to use flame-retardant cables or those with larger cross-sections of wires? No problem!
The OptiLine fixture with M25 glands allows the use of thicker cabling, essential in cases where cables must withstand extreme temperatures above 600°C, as in emergency lighting systems. This feature not only increases safety but also allows for the choice of cables from different manufacturers and the use of wires with larger cross-sections, minimizing voltage drops over long distances.
From an installer’s perspective: safe and quick installation
From an installer’s perspective: safe and quick installation The OptiLine emergency lighting fixture, created for use in explosion hazard zones, stands out with a design that ensures safety and ease of installation. The diffuser and the internal mounting plate with the LED module are equipped with hinges. Opening the diffuser requires the use of a tool, in accordance with the ATEX Directive. Meanwhile, captive screws, allowing the opening of the mounting plate without the risk of losing and falling, further increase safety. This thoughtful design minimizes the risk of introducing loose elements into the production installation, which can prevent serious breakdowns and hazards.
It is also worth noting the amount of space inside the fixture. This fact will be particularly appreciated by installers who will be able to access all connections without problems.
